Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, took classes in clarinets along with cellos, pianos, and clarinets at Hochstein School of Music. Following a successful application to The Boston Conservatory because of her love for theater in schools Sharp applied for The Boston Conservatory. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Sharp after she graduated. Sharp's first focus was the stage. She was part of The Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatrical shows include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp's talents are not restricted to stage or screen. Sharp also wrote and written a number of projects. Apart from singing, Sharp is making an album. Sharp, who is often on camera, behind it or in the recording studio, enjoys staying fit. Sharp studies Krav Maga and boxing. Sharp likes to play piano, hike and take lengthy road trips. Sharp has a family home in Los Angeles.
